MSMC is a modern, competitive company which distributes spare parts in the light vehicle and industrial vehicle sector across Spain, Portugal and South America. They are convinced that to be competitive in today’s market, they have to concentrate on their true added value to survive and, above all, grow.
Massimo Gentile, the managing director of MSMC, explains that data management is a task they’ve always spent many hours on and which they never see as finished.
MSMC turned to Factory Data in September 2020 in search of a definitive solution to help them optimise their data management and product analysis.
The first thing we did was to load all the equivalence tables of MSMC’s own brand, called CD-KB, as well as the brands of other providers they distribute, such as ABS All Brake Systems BV.
All the information received was processed, partly to detect errors but mainly to connect it with our data clustering technology which augments connectivity by up to 400%.
Then came the moment to integrate our various technologies into their website:
The following technology was decided to be integrated:
Automated product solution search. To find reference numbers in the families and providers with which MSMC works when they fail to appear in the company’s own database.
Monitoring of all search activity on the website to analyse product demand and manage the product assortment in a more optimal way.
After several months in operation, we can extract the following conclusions:
The work of maintaining equivalences in the clustered families has been reduced by 80%.
The website’s search results have risen by 25%.
Monitoring the website makes it possible to know both the general demand and the particular demand of each customer so you can analyse the level of service you’re offering to each customer.
The demand information makes it possible, each month, to detect the most demanded products which should be incorporated and to analyse potentially obsolete items to remove from the warehouse.
The technology in data intelligence and and Big Data improve the way you work with data and products, reducing total management time and taking advantage of the full potential of the market.
